Laying the groundwork for a successful campaign begins with crafting a plan to address needs, engaging leadership, initiating communication efforts and evaluating both the willingness and the capacity of the community to support a specific project.

• RGI's Pre-Campaign Process focuses on engaging stakeholders in an effort to increase their knowledge about the needs addressed through a pending capital project while gathering their input and measuring their ability and willingness to support the project through their investment of time, talent and financial resources.
• Depending on where you are in the process, RGI will work with you to determine what steps need to be taken to maximize the potential support for an eventual campaign through a cost-effective process building on a traditional feasibility study.

At the completion of this three to four month process a Campaign Strategy Report is issued making recommendations about the possibility and advisability of proceeding with a capital campaign, probable levels of financial support and timing and staff options for successful completion of a campaign.

While most organizations choose to begin with the RGI Pre-Campaign Process and continue through to engage counsel for a capital campaign, some organizations are ready to proceed immediately with a campaign. Regardless, RGI offers professional counsel for organizations conducting capital campaigns.

• RGI counsel provides support in development of solicitation strategies, volunteer training, materials development, timeline creation, campaign reporting and much more.
• RGI counsel provides support in the areas of staff and systems development, assistance with solicitation visits, communication and marketing strategy development and many other variable areas of need.
• RGI will work with you to determine which model of counsel best meets your needs and your available personnel and financial resources.

• RGI offers a product to help evaluate organizational challenges and opportunities, measuring support within the community to better understand past giving decisions and ensure clear articulation of needs moving forward.
• RGI will then develop strategies designed to address these needs through the creation of a well defined, manageable Annual Fund Development Plan.
• The research necessary to develop any Annual Fund Development Plan is carried out during a three-four month process. RGI will work with you and those closest to your organization to understand the various elements impacting your organization's ability to secure necessary funding.
• RGI will then provide a written communication and fund development plan, which includes: strategies, personnel roles, organizational responsibilities, timelines and outcome measurement for use throughout the next two-three years.

While not always necessary, many organizations continue to engage our staff long after the RGI Annual Fund Development Plan is presented to assist in the ongoing implementation of said plan.
